Manually testing hardware/devices

The following steps illustrate a means to test the existing gestures on the supported platforms of TouchToolkit (or any additional ones added).

Step 1:

Load the sample application provided with TouchToolKit for the desired platform. The following sample application should appear:

With the sample application loaded for the platform of your choice, you can now begin to test the various default gestures provided by TouchToolkit.

Step 2:

To test the drag functionality, manually select any of the 4 pictures displayed and move the object around.

Step 3:

To test the zoom functionality, manually select any of the 4 pictures displayed with 2 fingers and expand the distance between the 2 fingers outward.

Step 4:

To test the pinch functionality, manually select any of the 4 pictures displayed with 2 fingers and shrink the distance between the 2 fingers inward.

Step 5:

To test the rotate functionality, manually select any of the 4 pictures displayed with 2 fingers and rotate the fingers.

Step 6:

To test the lasso functionality, with a finger, draw a circular area around the pictures you would like to be selected. It is important to note that in order for this functionality to be recognized by TouchToolKit, the circular area needs to be enclosed, in otherwords, the start of the circular area must at least intersect the end of the circular area.
